I will work to protect the taxpayer from duplication of services and to bring back a value traditionally associated with Vermont - frugality.

Just like in a household budget every dollar counts and sometimes you have to borrow money in order to invest in the future. We are currently in a situation where we must watch the state's wallet very closely, rooting out unnecessary spending and being very selective with what projects receive tax dollars. In this economy if a project doesn't have a solid return on the investment, we can't afford it.
